I feel you - I don't have time for what I already watch or I'm behind with, must resist temptations to start more things... but it's hard!

Thankfully most of the shows I watch have short seasons.

I love short seasons when I'm trying to catch up on a show.

The trend to short seasons is mostly good, but difficult for serialized shows that have 10 episodes and then gone for a year.

I am so grateful Grimm has a normal 22-episode season.

True, hiatuses of shows with short seasons are the devil. But they are so handy for tv marathons.

The thing with short seasons is I almost always forget about the shows in the between times.

The "anthology" model is probably best. Like, the awesome Fargo had 10 episodes this spring and has been renewed, but it will tell an entirely different story with an all new cast next year in Season 2.
So, it's more like a 10-hour movie.

That's what I thought. I still haven't had time to watch anything really good.

Fargo was the best thing on TV this year .. so if you find some time, give it a look.

There's not much romance in the first few episodes, it's more adventure/historical drama.

Outlander seems to be the hit of this season.
