Thanks for the new thread, indeed.

Mamma Mia aired again on TV (wonder why? ) and it had been a while since I've seen it completely, so I watched it. I had forgotten how much singing was given to Pierce Brosnan, considering how obviously uncomfortable he is with singing. I thought he did pretty good, considering that's not part of his skillset.

I saw that it was on TV and ignore it.

ED TV was on tv this afternoon and watched it. Funny movie about a guy who gets a reality show 24/7 with cameras in his face. Stars Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Jenna Elfman, Ellen Degeneres.

I know! I remembered thinking his signing was terrible, and was shocked to realize it really wasn't half-bad at all. It's just that (a) he signs a lot for a non-signer and (b) everyone else who's signing in that movie has experience doing it, so he looks not-great in comparison.

And that really sounds like damning with faint praise. But I really meant that, upon a second (or 3rd or 10th) watch, I liked it.

Les Miserables (with Hugh Jackman) is playing on TV while I'm away and I'm debating whether to tape it or not.

I mean, I have it on DVD...

I just watched “Misery” last night. Kathy Bates was so great at playing cray-cray!

^ Sunny, it’s so good. Writer is stuck injured and immobile in bed at the mercy of a pyschopathic and homicidal women who is his #1 fan who gets increasingly hostile and it’s like ack, how can he escape?? And Kathy Bates won the Best Actress Oscar for her acting, she is scary cause you don’t know which way she’s going to react at anytime.

Oh, I know all about it, of course. Kinda hard to be alive these days and not know what Misery is all about. It's one of James Caan's best performances and, of course, Kathy Bates hit it out of the park.

But, you know me, I don't do horror movies. I mean, I know it's not a "real" or obvious horror movie, but it plays on the same emotions or notes. So, yeah, I haven't seen it and probably never will.
