But I could see their friends thinking it's ridiculous until they realize it does look fun.

I can see Hyde giving Jackie a gift, but not any old gift, a gift that was personal to him and her.

Would that be at the end of a nice date? Or would he act like Valentine's Day wasn't a holiday. OR would he give her that gift on the day before Valentine's Day to make a point?

He probably would try to fight it, trying to not make a big deal about it. In the end he would end up giving her the gift on Valentines day because he knows it would make Jackie happy.

I agree. He might give her the gift at 11:59 pm on March 13, but she could open the gift at midnight on March 14, so they both win.
