  • Brilliant. The gun shot we hear is Aram finally killing someone.
  • With Liz being captured, Red is panicking. He puts a gun to Donald's head and tells him Liz will die if he doesn't give the passcode. Donald gives it in spite of Harold instructing him not to.
  • Tom calling on Liz' phone destroyed Anslo's moment. Oh Tom.
  • Anslo takes Red along with Liz. It is obvious that when Red saw Liz he gets even more protective.
  • Finally the last goon is killed by Donald. Dembe escapes and Cooper starts barking out orders. The rest of the FBI help is already inside.
  • Red tells Liz: "The Emissary Hotel in Chicago. Mr. Kaplan." while Anslo is instructing to get the chip out of Red. Unfortunately it was removed and Anslo hands it over to another goon.
  • Man, whatever would they do without Aram?
  • Diane wants the op dismantled because Red is missing.
  • Alright so Anslo doesn't know Liz' connection to Red but he's sensing something. He brings him over to this facility where Red is chained up in his arms. What does he want from him? Was it all payback for putting a bullet through his head?
  • Tom wants Liz to quit her job and move to Nebraska. But why?
  • Aram was able to trace the number of the people watching the Keens.
  • Anslo said that he was only the hired help and that it really wasn't his place to put him there. Poor Red and he was injected with a drug that enhances pain.
  • Liz finally sees the monitors from the house across the street watching them and kills one of the guys.
  • Liz calls Cooper but called Mr. Kaplan instead who turns out to be an old lady! Mr. Kaplan has instructions to protect Liz?
  • Alright so Red has a connection to the guys watching the Keens so that might be because of Tom. But these guys work for someone we will meet later.
  • Haha, the backup that raided the facility, Mr. Kaplan had it covered.
  • So Cooper's task force & Diane are being watched and not just the Keens.
  • Red has an arrangement with Mr. Fitch? For what? I kind of pity Red for whatever his reasons are dealing with them because it seems to me that he has no choice and they'll just keep watching him and waiting to kill him one of these days. Red is working towards an agenda (for revenge, as one thing) along with also protecting Liz (for reasons we still don't know).
  • FBI finally gets to the place where Red was abducted but he's gone and Anslo is dead.
  • Diane changed his mind and now wants to find Red.
  • Red calls Liz and she asks him if he's her father. He says no and warns her about Tom again.

Nice conclusion to this 2-part episode. I'm glad this ep winded down and there wasn't so much blood. I do have a TON of questions though. The whole thing with Mr. Fitch was pretty vague. It seems to me that Red had an arrangement with them. The people watching the Keens work for Mr,. Fitch and then why were they watching the FBI and Diane? Also the calls were traced back to that apartment across the Keens where Red keeps in touch with the people there so I'm confused. If these guys work for Mr. Fitch, how did Red get a hold of them and it also seems to me that he knows that the Keens are being watched.

Since Tom knew Liz was in danger. He just sat there and did nothing. We all learn he's a high trained spy. Shouldn't he take action back then? He didn't want to blow his cover or he made that call in purpose at that time because he knew Anslo was attacking the post office?.

I think the adoption and moving to another place was a strategy Tom wanted to control Liz ,got her out of Red's sphere and did his job.

I had forgotten most of what happened with Mr. Kaplan in this ep. I think that the Apple man must have been working for Diane since she was the one who coordinated Red’s capture in the last ep. Meera must have been told to call the Apple man anytime Red was in the building and the Apple man passed the info on to Anslo at Diane’s request.

Diane is following the orders of Mr. Fitch’s group, which means that they were probably the ones that ordered Diane to set up the surveillance and have Meera report to them. I think they decided to watch Lizzy because they want to know what her connection is to Red and why Red is so interested in her.

Where did Red get that sharp piece of metal that he killed Anslo with? Maybe they showed us I missed it.

I think that Diane knew about the surveillance but she did not know that Mr. Fitch’s group was also spying on her. I think that might have made her mad

Tom trying to get Liz away from Red was so great! He is so manipulative! And very good at his job

Updated this one, too.

Man, it's so sad that these threads barely have posts but maybe, some day, we'll start with a re-watch and bump all of them again.

Amy, it's been a small pair of scissors and he got it from one of the guys, kind of sneaked it out of a pocket or from a table/chair, I don't recall exactly. But I know it's been a pair of scissors that he grabbed short before stabbing Anslo.

Do you think that Diane could have been a member of the Cabal as well in retrospective? I really was wondering since she claimed to know about what has happened to his family before she died.

Thanks for updating the OP Kris. It is sad this has so little response. I think we can bump it up already now too.

Red killing Anlso like that. Anlso did not see that coming at all.

I think Diane might have been in the Cabal as well. I don't trust any of the people that are not on the task force anymore.

I somehow didn't expect the killing of Anslo going so fast... It was surprising to me. I saw that Red grabbed that pair of scissors but I didn't think he would kill him with one strike.

And yeah, knowing about the Cabal and how influencial they truly are makes you wonder who you can trust at all... Diane was never a character that I liked so I wouldn't be surprised, really.

I'm wondering if at some Point Liz will find out what happened to Diane. Do you think they somehow brought that topic back up in the flashback episode because it might be important at some point again? Or just as a quick summery?

Miranda I definitely think that Diane was part of the Cabal. She was the liaison between the Cabal and the task force.

I was surprised that no one in the Cabal seemed to care that Diane had been killed though. And they didn't try to find out what happened to her. They knew she didn't just simply up and disappear.

Yeah, Amy I totally agree with you. Diane for sure was part of the Cabal... So I'm even more surprised that they never discovered her body With all the resources they have. Mr. Kaplan was doing an amazing job and in season 2 they discredited her Still unbelievable.

That was the first episode Mr. Kaplan appeared in, right? Oh man, I was in love with her right away.

OP is updated

Thanks Kris.

Yes this was the first episode for both Mr. Kaplan and Audrey.

I am sure Diane was part of the Cabal. She put Meera in the task force to become a mole so I really wouldn't be surprised if she did that with orders from the Cabal.

Right, Audrey appeared at the end of the episode ad Ressler's hospital bed I loved that... But she was engaged back then which I thought sad.

Okay, same I assume about Diane and using Meera without her knowing about it even. And I think that's also the reason that Diane was so much against Red working with the task force and striking that deal.

It is sad - because if she would have stayed away from Ressler and married her then fiancé she would still be alive today.

Exactly... It was kind of one choice of hers that cost her her life. And I'm sometimes wondering if Ressler is or was blaming himself for her death I somehow couldn't stand that I think.

Man, did I ever mention that I love Liz's outfit (the dark blue blouse and the black trousers) so much It's one of the best ever, she looked so beautiful in it and I loved the way her hair was done, too.
